Helping rural households in Malawi
improve their incomes from farming
Malawi’s largely agrarian economy provides livelihoods for 85 percent of its population. But, poor infrastructure, limited arable land and destructive weather have contributed to food insecurity. Since 1999, Land O’Lakes International Development has been helping rural households improve incomes through agriculture, expanding trade and enabling better nutrition.
